How important is coding practice for interviews?

Coding practice can feel a bit overwhelming, especially with the vast array of platforms out there. Sites like LeetCode and HackerRank are definitely useful, but sometimes it's the simple stuff that makes a difference. Just working through common algorithms and data structures can help build confidence and speed. Not every question is going to be a hard algo puzzle, but knowing the basics is crucial.
Another piece I've noticed is the importance of mock interviews. Pairing up with someone or using services like Pramp can really highlight gaps in your understanding. It’s easy to solve a problem solo but communicating your thought process? That’s where the real challenge lies. You can be the best coder, but if you can’t articulate your solution clearly, it might not matter much to the interviewer.
