I shared a situation from a school project where our team had to decide on a technology stack for an application with very limited user requirements. We based our decision on available industry trends and our team's strengths rather than concrete data.

The interviewer nodded, showing understanding but asked about our fallback plan in case we chose the wrong stack. We didn’t have a solid plan, which I admitted, and I could tell the interviewer noted this gap.

I later realized that a more structured decision-making approach could have prevented some of the project's challenges.
